That may be true in the land of Bigfoot, but elsewhere they are two different games. In Gomoku, the winner has to get five stones in a row. In Go, the player who commands most territory wins. Memorized sequences play a big part in Gomoku, but not in Go where spatial intuition is much more important. You can guess which I prefer. BB
