I'm sure this happens with all countries that host the Commonwealth Games.
Er not when we hosted it in Manchester it didn't. The Manchester CW Games went really well and it was actually in part due to how well they went that convinced the British government to bid for the London Olympics.

Sounds like you have some dodgy people in charge.

When the Commonwealth Games actually happened in Manchester they brought a really good atmosphere to the city various new sport facilities (Swimming, cycling e.t.c) and seemed leave a legacy to the City.

Hopefully despite the organising problems of yours the games themselves will turn out well, because if they do then India will have shown they can manage and put on a large scale international sporting event which can only be good for the future.
