Well then yes, my product does them all. Also it writes it own video and then audio as well. But that is inside another application that comes with the Visual Suite Package...

I met a guy once who could write my and my wifey's name on a grain of rice, without using any magnifier. This seems to be a comparable feat.

ThEiMp, do you write on both sides of the disc or only the shiny side? Could you possibly use both sides and you know, write in a slightly bigger font size so I can try and read it?

Really. I only use a small amount of the surface, cause that is what I do, in programming and CD Publishing. Anyway it has been many years, since that we have publshed anything that we have alone done for the business...

On CDs, it is possible to see how much of the disc has been used. Is that also possible on DVDs?

Yes, but it's not that accurate in deed. Cause of the fact that each disc is alittle bigger to a little smaller than the other. Well that happens on the one that I am using, I think that I need a better Burner...

Last night I tried writing onto a discarded CD with a needle. Mind you, I was using a magnifying glass and trying to use as small a handwriting as I could, but still I couldn't fit more than the first page of David Copperfield onto the entire surface. Not to mention the needle broke twice and my fingers are still paining.

I don't know how you manage to write so much code onto it, but I bet using a burner must be easier on your fingers.

There are no pages, that's the biggest advantage of using a digital medium like a CD. Once you are done with one side, you just turn the side and read the other one. No need to carry heavy books and flip through pages. That's what I like about the compact disks!

I found him very puzzling. While some of the writing was pure crazy, what he was doing with code wasn't trivial. I couldn't understand it, but it clearly took more than a novice amount of effort. I'm not surprised that he wandered away, considering his comments could be abrasive, and replies could be caustic. Still, I'm sorry he left. Variety is the spice of life, and it may be taken as a nutmeg of consolation that he clove to his idea with much pepper in hopes of making a mint over thyme. He may not have been the salt of the Earth, and his ideas might have been half baked, but you can't say he wasn't seasoned.
