    project, save settings (or from my project in solution explorer), application, enable application framework and save my.settings on shutdown are checked
    in settings add variable that will be saved

    dim settings as new my.settings ' global var
    in sub :
    settings.varname = "" 'as varname's var type
    settings.save()
