Hi guys, i created this thread to tell everybody how happy i am to have found this forums. I've been searching quite long for a VB forum. I couldn't found anything in my natural language (spanish), so i started to look for something in english. And after a bit i found this forum, to wich i was a bit reluctant at first. But it surprised me how well this forum is run, and how respectfull the people is. So first, i wanna thanks everyone for making this, the greatest forum i know. And i want to give special thanks to those who could help me:

dglienna
RobCrombie
RobDog888
szlamany

RhinoBull
Mark_Gambo

I thing that this is something word mentioning. That's why i created this trhead in the first place.

So, thanks a again. I'll try to help in anything i can and

Don't forget me. I'm practically one of the gurus on the list that wasn't mentioned. Can't forget Joacim Andersson. Bruce Fox, penagate, Pino, and MartinLiss as well. Might as well add them too. Unless you are only referring to the peeps that personally helped ya.

I'd be in the Games and Graphics section more often if more people posted in there. It's usually dead for hours at a time, unless a good day comes by. It's no wonder I'm in the Classic VB Section more often. :(

I guess you haven't got the chance to help him in his queries hence you were not included. :)

He needs to post as often as dglienna and RogDog888

They both need to be in a Group Theropy Session. That way there, I'm sure to help him. ;)

dee-u was right, i just listed those who helped me, whether they were gurus or not. But like a said before, i thank u all. The list, was like, mention of those who happen to help me, in my particular program. Off course that there must be a lot other guys that do know much about other things. But how could i mention all?

Even though you are new,
You DID give them rep points?
Can't be grateful without giving rep points, dontcha know!

There was a thread like this a while back in Chit Chat. "My heros at VBF" started by sciguyryan (Where is he? Haven't seen him for ages...), but like all chit chat threads that one went wildly off topic. I think this is a better forum for it.

If I may I'd also like to thank everyone that's helped me, and also the mods, admins, and x for running the place. Without them we'd all be up the creek :p

In order to actually give more than 0 points to someone, you are gonna need 20+ posts, and I think 5 maybe 10 rep points. You start with 5.

Don't you think it's a little selfish and/or for others to decide JR ? ;)

You're just saying that cause you were on the list. ;)

And I mentioned other Gurus too that werent on there. JA plays a big role too.

I didn't mind not getting rated. You have no obligation to rate anyone, but if you feel like it, you could go back to your old threads and rate the one's that you want, or just find another thread that was answered by someone that you want to rate, and rate that thread. It's always nice to see someone's name as the comment so that I know who rated me.

Glad I've been able to help you.

Matias - you are very welcome.

I am new to VB (four years now), PC's and SQL - mainframe programmer from the old days :)

This FORUM helped me greatly in the begining and still helps when I come across a complex issue.

There is a great variety of talents here - from all aspects of computers and software.

I continue to learn by simply help others - it's always great to push the envelope and see how far you can go...

Jacob, i made that list, because those were the ones who help me. I don't know if they are gurus or not, i didn't make that list based on that.

... but if you feel like it, you could go back to your old threads and rate the one's that you want ...

By the time i read this, i've already done that.. :D

Regards,

I was refering to Rhinobulls comment with a little humor ;)

I was well aware you meant just the people who helped you personally. Matter of fact I said something on it in the last sentence of post #2, and after you said what the list was about in post #7, I understood since then. :)

Says who? There was some confusion cause apparently Matias misunderstood what I said. I cleared things up in post #21.

I continue to learn by simply help others - it's always great to push the envelope and see how far you can go...I completely agree.. I spend far more time on here helping other people than asking questions but in the 6 months or so I have been on this forum I have amassed a huge amount of knowledge, both from other members' posts and from the different experiences you get helping people with all sorts of problems.

:)
