help me please ?
i am wanting to go into a bit of game design, a bit of a late decision but i am willing to try a lot of stuff and stick to what i enjoy. but i havnt tried games. sooooo, what can i use to make games, should i use VB or not ??? any help is welcome.

vb doesn't have wonderful graphics methods, although u could use dx - but that'll still be slower than using c++. hope u know c++, wonderful language once u've learnt it - but have fun learning
um, in short: i'd go for c++

It's perfectly possible to write a game in VB, despite what a lot of people say.
If you want to see what can be done in VB then download Sentience (follow the link in my sig and download GameDev.exe).
Proof that games can be written in VB - but be aware that it's not finished yet....

ok, thanx you two. well to be honest "axion_sa", i have always avoided c++ for some reason, i just hate it, i think i should learn a bit of it though. (should, doesnt mean i will )

You should probably be able to at least read C++, if not create a full blown program in it. There are lots of great resources on the web, and 99% of them are in C++, or pseudo-C++.

If you want to do it in VB, why don't you use BitBlt.
