Resolved [RESOLVED] An Extremely Bad Change in vbForums

Over the past year or two, I've been doing some intensive development work (all of which is closely related to VB6ers), so I haven't been visiting vbForums as often. I noticed an extremely bad change: the homepage of the `Visual Basic 6 and Earlier` subforum now only shows one page. It used to show Page 1, Page 2... Next Page...

I know this is to prevent AI models from scraping data, but I think the homepage of the `Visual Basic 6 and Earlier` subforum should at least show Pages 1 to 3. Otherwise, some loyal old users can't browse posts from the last 1-3 months.

VB6 is a language that stopped evolving 28 years ago, and the only way to keep it alive longer is to be more open, not more closed.

Re: An Extremely Bad Change in vbForums

Another important reason why I visit vbForums less and less is that every time I open the vbForum.com web-page, Cloudflare runs a long scan and security check on my computer, which is really annoying.

Is that what is happening, or do you have your settings only displaying a short length of time? There are thread display options near the bottom of a forum (not visible when in a thread in that forum). They default to something. If you have the "Show Threads From the Last..." set to a short length of time, what you are seeing is not quite what you describe. It's still an issue, just not the one you thought it was. Those multiple pages are there, for me, on forums where I have the setting expansive enough. The major issue is that forum use everywhere is winding down. Not just here and not just in programming forums. I know of no forum that has not seen a steep decline in usage over the last year or two.

Therefore, the issue might be that there just haven't been enough threads active for there to BE more than one page within the time criteria you have set for the forum.
    My usual boring signature: Nothing

I've never changed my settings before. Just now, I checked the `Thread Display Options`, and it was set from `Last Month` to `Last Post Time`. So I changed `Last Month` to `Last Year`, then clicked the `Show Threads` button, and now I can see multiple pages. The problem's solved now, thanks, Shaggy.

I thought vbForums had abandoned me, but it seems not.
