Re: VB6 E-Book by Francesco Balena
For those that have the book "Programming Microsoft Visual Basic 6" by Francesco Balena AND do not have the CD, I may have good news for you.
I am Scottish, and I believe this expression is also Scottish - "It's an ill wind that blows nobody no good"
What that means is - even when the majority suffer from some calamity, there may be a few that get benefit from it.
That has just happened to me.
I scoured eBay to purchase a paper copy of the book. I found a few for sale, but they gave little mention of the accompanying CD.
I wrote to a couple, but receiving no replies, I ordered one. Then they wrote back and said there is no way they can pre-check if the CD is included.
I just completed another hour searching for a seller that could guarantee the CD would be included.
No luck this time either.
Speaking about "Ill winds", I would call VB.NET another ill wind
I googled some more and came across a web site using the contents of the VB6 CD as examples of migration to VB.NET
And that web page has a link to download all of the CD's examples -

PS Here is another download O'Reilly -

Top right, there is an icon that looks like a Q (but the circle part of the Q looks like a cloud)
That zip is organized differently, and may have more in it
