Thanks! I did forget. I could have bombed out at work.

Suddenly that doesn't surprise me. I get the impression that his family are not very nice people. All I can say is, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I was thinking about that. I know nothing about Qatar, but I am thinking they won't be welcoming him with open arms. He probably has a better chance at success if he stays in America. I'm curious how the people of Qatar think about this kid.

I am amazed this is still news.

Yep you know nothing about Qatar, they have offered to basically pay for all his education with a full scholarship i would imagine they don't do that for most people, and i would imagine that that he would have struggled to get a better offer elsewhere.

Also most people in Qatar are Muslim and so him and his family will in all probability be welcomed.

Qatar is a small, very wealthy Arab state. While it certainly has its own problems, in all likelihood Ahmed and Family will do well there. Who knows if he would do better in America or not, but it sounds like they will be fine.

Well... good for that kid then. Must be nice to lie about inventing something, make a scene, and then get a full ride.

I set my clock back at the recommended time...but then the recommended time arrived again, so I set my clock back again. It's still a bit after midnight on Saturday for me. The sun has risen and set a few times during this hour, but I guess that's just a detail.

I remember watching a special on the news about Qatar, because the US had a base there. They said that Qatar is westernized to a degree, so I guess if you really had to pick between a rock and a hard place...
