this is correct. They take listing fees (which may not exist for a particular listing but add-ons add up: my listing above had a caption and large photo) and a percentage of final selling price. If you set a reserve there is a fee associated with that as well.

Re: [SERIOUS] Suing Paypal [/SERIOUS]
Hi...
I got my money from PayPal
After 2 days (from the date of withdrawal), I got the money deposited by PayPal.
Amount = 160$ (7051 Rs.)
But the problem is, I can't add money from bank to PayPal ("adding funds" in PayPal account). I asked about this via mail.

Your unconfirmed bank account ending with 1714
has been included in the Funding Options to remind you that it will be
available for you to use once you complete the confirmation process. To
confirm your bank account, log in to your account, click the "Profile"
subtab, and click the "Bank Accounts" link. Choose the bank account you
wish to confirm and click "Confirm." Follow the steps to complete the
bank confirmation process.
When you confirm your bank account, you'll improve your PayPal
reputation by becoming Verified, lift your Sending Limit, and will be
able to use your bank account to send payments instantly.
Once you are able to use your bank account, you'll see just how easy it
can be.
PayPal accounts are either verified or unverified. Getting verified
increases the security of the PayPal network and gives you access to
more PayPal features and services.
* Verified users have given PayPal additional evidence of their
identity by confirming a bank account. Users may also apply for a PayPal
Plus Credit Card or PayPal Buyer Credit. If a user is approved for
either of these, the user's account is automatically brought to
"verified" status.
* Unverified members have not taken additional steps to help confirm
their identity.
Once you're verified:
* We lift your sending limits.
* You can send payments using your bank account.
* You gain increased credibility with sellers and buyers.
To learn more, log in to your account and click the "Get Verified" link
in Status field below your name.
I hope this information to be helpful.
Have a good day!!

Paulina

You can add and confirm your Indian bank account for Verification
purposes only. Since your Indian bank account is denominated in INR

account at this time.

My name is Miguel, and I will be happy to assist you with your question
regarding your question of how to add funds to your account.
You may fund your Pay Pal account and send payments to anyone with an
email address using the following methods:
Account funding options:
* Transfer funds from your U.S. bank account to your Pay Pal
balance.
* Money takes 3-4 business days to show up in your account.
* The estimated clearing date is listed on the transaction details
page.
Payment funding sources
Pay Pal balance:
* Transfer occurs immediately.
* Your Pay Pal balance is used first when you send money.
* When your balance is insufficient, the funding source may default
to another currency balance depending on the funds available.
* If your payment is sent from a currency balance that is not open,
the payment is funded with a linked bank account or credit card.
Pay Pal Plus Credit Card, eBay MasterCard, or Pay Pal Buyer Credit:
* Once you are approved, it is automatically linked to your Pay Pal
account.
* Transfer occurs immediately.
* Can be selected as your preferred funding source for future
purchases.
Instant Transfer:
* A transfer from your linked bank account.
* Transfer occurs immediately.
* You must have a credit card and a confirmed bank account on file
with Pay Pal.
eCheck:
* Payment takes 3-4 business days to complete - estimated clearing
date is listed on the Transaction Details page.
* The funds are deducted from your bank account immediately.
Credit card:
* Transfer occurs immediately.
* If the amount in your balance is sufficient to fund the entire
payment, your credit card will not be available as a funding source.
*Some accounts, at Pay Pal’s discretion, may have a lower limit until
becoming verified. To view any account limits, click "View Limits" on
Account Overview page.
Verified. To view any account limits, click "View Limits" on Account
Overview page.
Note:
* All limits are denominated in your primary currency. If you change
your primary currency, your limits will be displayed in the new
currency.
* Holidays and weekends are not recognized as business days for most
banking facilities, which may delay your banking transactions.
* Once a payment has been sent, it is not possible to alter the
payment method. You can view the payment method sent by viewing the
transactions details page of the transaction.
If you don't have a bank account or credit card linked to your Pay Pal
account, you can add them.
Now, to add funds from bank account or credit or debit card:
Here's how to add a bank account to your Pay Pal account:
1. Log in to your Pay Pal account.
2. Click "Profile."
3. Click "Bank Accounts" under Financial Information.

5. Enter the required information and click "Add Bank Account."

1. Log in to your Pay Pal account.
2. Click "Profile" at the top of the page.
3. Click "Credit/Debit Cards" under Financial Information.
4. Click "Add a card."

(without spaces or dashes).
6. Enter the Card Verification Number from the back of your card.
7. Enter the address where you receive the billing statements for
your card.
8. Click "Add Card."

have you tried adding a bank debit card (with visa or mastercard logo) to paypal? That would be a workaround.

This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.

I think, our banks deals with Rupees, as the primary one. So, currency conversion may be needed to add funds from bank to PayPal. That may be the reason !
