No other browser can beat Opera's speed. But unfortunetly you don't get any (useful) extention.

I'll not mind using Firefox (with FasterFox and firetune) if they add a "Fit to Width" rendering option like Opera.

I don't notice much speed difference between Firefox and Opera. If there's any, it's negligible.

Try using tabs in IE 7: now that's awful performance.

Opera is much faster than any other web browser. I've tried it on dial-up, DSL, Wifi and proven it. Although I seldom use it. I use firefox.

Any system running Windows 95 (or higher)

We had to test on bare bone machines for our new web software. It took us a week to find anyone with a windows 95 license.
