Re: Software as a Service
Another service that we have been thinking of looking into is an online backup service. This idea might be rejected owing to bandwidth constraints.

How is your software configured?
Where does the software run?
On the client's boxes or on your servers?
Re: Software as a Service
No.
Because most non-service solutions we investigate have very reasonable costs, where 5-year projections typically show SaaS solutions as the more expensive choice. Even if not, there's also the convenience factor of having your own systems in place that you can access and change at any time, online or offline.
Our backup solution for example is a large disaster-proof NAS backup drive by IOSafe and EMC's retrospect software. It's waterproof, fireproof, and explosion proof. The video I linked to is of their smaller units, the Solo which is marvelous itself. :)
Re: Software as a Service
We host servers in a data center in Ma. We control all software and the hardware. We user MS SQL server, clustered and replication running. Clustered IIS Servers.
Re: Software as a Service
