It works fine and its not a white square but the [code] tag button.
Its probably because your using FireFox.

It might look better if it had a transparent background like the vbcode image.

Works for me in Firefox, It's just a different image anyway. It used to be a # symbol if I remember correctly.

The background was suppose to be transparent. Obviously it isn't. Regardless, it is more understandable than the '#' button.
If you are still seeing the # button, then you might want to clear your local cache of temporary files.
