Repair Winsock after corruption by spyware
Hi,
I have been searching the web for a way to fix winsock programatically after being corrupted by spyware (I think WebHancer does this). While uninstalling it manually would do the trick, I need a way to fix (for win 9x, ME, 2003 and XP) it through VB.
Any help is apriciated. Thanks.

See if WinsockFix.zip does what you need. I had good luck using it.

I think this will be of some help. You could automate it if you
have the reg setting from a wroking computer that is similar, or
just re-install winsock.

No prob. But MS states that the systems should be similar and
similar OS. So are they implying that the hardware matters too?
