List sites under developer.com at the end of the page
I think, it would be a lot more helpful if you include the site names which is under developer.com community, like in StakcOverflow. In SO, they list the sites at the very end of the page.
The following are the advantages:
- users would be able to find that useful sites without the need for searching in Google to find it
- it would help the SEO, backlink, ranking, kind of stuff of the sites (the advantage would be for you and the company not the members
)
I have seen that Android site of developer.com, which brad had mentioned in one of the threads. But now, I don't have an idea about the name of the site or address itself ! I have to google it now or search this forum for brad's post

Re: List sites under developer.com at the end of the page
Hello,
I like the idea!
For now, you can get some of that information here:
http://www.vbforums.com/whatsites
i.e. the 404 pages for vbforums has links to additional sites under that banner.

Oh, I am not saying that this is a great solution, by any means. I am saying that it can be used as a workaround until, if possible, something else comes along.

Re: List sites under developer.com at the end of the page
oye. That 404 page is horribly out of date . I'll need to get it updated!
As to linking all the sites in the footer - that actually isn't as good of an SEO strategy as it might seem. You can actually get bit for doing that as it looks like link farming. The reason for doing that is for you guys - the readers - not for SEO value. It is better to limit the links you do to other sites to more relevant links.
Another reason we don't list all the sites is because the list changes. We add sites and we remove sites.
Brad!

Maybe you could add those relevant ones. Like if you have the site that deals with languages separately, say Android site, iPhone, etc.. you could link it here to this forum as the developers in here might also be interested in accessing one of those sites.
