I wonder why Penagate's profile (http://www.vbforums.com/member.php?u=54494) is different from everyone else in this forum. It is missing some tabs and the right side boxes are also fewer than other members.

Maybe he either doesn't have any friends or has disabled that tab because he doesn't want people viewing his profile. With the visitor messages maybe he has disabled the tab to keep his profile looking clean.

Edit:

I just looked in the User CP and there is a new section called "Profile Privacy" where you can disable/hide different parts of your profile.

I have everything in my profile set up as viewable only by registered members.

Yeah, me being a normal user I don't have the ability to hide tabs but since Penagate is a mod that would be a privilege he gets plus other things. The admins would get that plus even more options too.

nobody's profile is viewable by unregistered guests. Doesn't matter who you are. Log out and try.

Nah.. his profile looks like that to registered users as in the screenshot. I think he has disabled it for some reason just as Aaron pointed out.

I hide my photos from non-contacts. Every profile can and will look different.

I don't recall modifying it but the culprit is indeed the "Profile Privacy (http://www.vbforums.com/profile.php?do=privacy)" page.

Mods/Admin must have an "hide tabs" option as well as:

Everyone
Registered Members
Your Contacts
Your Friends

that normal users have.

We have the same options as everyone else...

If you select either "Your Contacts" or "Your Friends" then only users who meet those criteria will be able to view that particular block.

Obviously, you will always see every block on your own profile.

what I'm saying is, if you are not logged in/registered you can't see anyone's profile page, so there's no need to hide anything from unregistered viewers. They can't see it anyway.
