Send Private Message to a new member

I don't see any links under his name or in his profile to PM a new member. I can send email though; but I don't want to do this as it would reveal my email address to him.

What do I do? Is it possible to PM any new member (might have posted some posts but status is still "new member")?

I think they need 10+ posts before PMs become enabled for them, which can be frustrating (Mods tend to need to contact people, especially newer members!).

One alternative is to post a reply to a thread they posted in, but of course that loses the privacy.

Actually you can but it's a workaround the mods probably don't want you doing (sending workaround to Martin now). Not sure they can actually view it until it's time, however.
