Oracle Licensing Help
So, let's say I have an Oracle database with 5 licensed users connecting. All 5 of those users update, delete, and select from various tables.
Now let's say I need 10-11 more people to connect to this database, but for READ ONLY purposes. It seems to me that I can open Microsoft Access and connect to the Oracle tables using ODBC but....
- is that because I already have an Oracle client installed on my PC? I can't remember, but you may need and Oracle client installed in order to have the ability to link to an Access table.
- If I CAN, in fact, link tables through Access, would I still need to purchase an Oracle license for the 10-11 new users?
