I have created an application in VB 6.0, and used the accompanying "Package & Deployment Wizard" to create the installation/Setup utility for it. I tested my created Setup package on various PC's and it works fine, with the application installing and running correctly. PC's are running operaiting systems such as Windows XP, 2003 and 2000 Professonal.
However, on one particular PC running Windows 2000 Server, running my Setup has problems. When running this Setup wizard, a message comes up stating that some of the system files are out of date and then asks if we want Setup to update them. If we select "No" then Setup exits without continuing. If we select "Yes" then Setup prompts the user to restart the sytem and to run Setup again. When he does so, the procedure just keep repeating itself: setup advising the user that it will update system files, then the user must restart the system and run Setup again, only for the user to keep going around in this repetitious circle.
I understand this is a known issue which people have worked a way aroun this. Can someone please advise me?
Thanks.
