dvd woes

Anna bought me the "apocalypse now redux" dvd there yesterday, but I can't for the life of me get it to play.
On my xbox, it looks as thought the tracking is off, but they, its a dvd, it doesnt use tracking

My xbox will however play another dvd that I have, so uhn I dunno.
My laptop has a dvd drive but it wont play either dvd.

I brought the dvd to a video store last night and asked them if they could check if the dvd was okay, and it came up first time perfect on their dvd player.
The guy behind the counter said that the xbox uses very cheap dvd components, but I find that very difficuly to believe.
Its just a standard device.

ARGGGG!
So I'm trying to either get the dvd to play on my xbox (and ive no ideas there) or on my laptop (and i suppose I can try a few things there)

Any ideas you lot ?
