Check planetsourcecode.com also. And if you are intending to buy it, I don't know whether it would be available in cheap.
If you have enough time to spend, then try creating it by yourself. The advantage is, you would be able to learn the language.

I don't believe that here you would get a single answer which really carries some weight, simply because vbForums is not the right place to explore such a subject.
How do I know that? I am myself a fully-qualified, statutorily-recognized accountant and I have ample experience in various types of inventory system.
Most sizeable organisations have their own tailor-made inventory accounting systems. To give you an idea, a single motor car may have over 10,000 types of sparepart in inventory.
Years ago there had been a well-known software which I knew of, AccPac Inventory Control module, geared for general use by smaller companies. But I am not sure it still exists nowadays.
