Nvidia graphics card users look here

I was looking at the nvidia webpage, after new drivers, when i stumbled across this

I HAD to try it, so i got some 3D glasses, and downloaded the necessary drivers, (DetinatorXP & 3D stereo). After spending a while setting up up, i ran Quake3. It looks incredible, it really does look like its in proper 3D.

I definitely recommend this to anyone that has a compatible graphics card.

To get the drivers go here

Click on your OS, then download & install the DetinatorXP driver followed by the 3D stereo driver.

To set it up, open the windows display screen, then click settings, advanced, stereo properties. Do the medical test, if OK, enable it, and select anaglyph setting. I find that a separation of 10% is good to start with. Then click on stereo setup and test, to set the monitor size, and test how it will look.

If you want to test it in quake3, turn off the crosshair (it puts in a 3D one automatically).

If the screen looks a bit weird when playing, try to change your eye focus, so that the red and green crosshairs (the 3D one, not the Q3 one) moves together.

This works on any monitors and 3d glasses?
Or it restricts to only those listed?

Works with all monitors, and glasses, even the filter colours are configurable!

With the origianl 3D glasses I think your monitor had to have a refresh rate or 120 Hz or more. Maybe these ones are different though.

You can set the refresh rate yourself it the config screen, so with filter glasses at least, it's fine.
