How do we set up a network when using vb6.?
I'm currently into a project which involves the computerisation of a printing company. There will be 2 computer involved. I want to make the boss computer the server and the employee computer the client... how can I do that??

You don't need VB for that. What stage are you starting from? Basically, you need to do this:

    1. Buy two PCI network cards with 10BaseT connectors.
    2. If you may need more than two computers on the network, buy a hub or switch.
    3. Connect them together with the right cables (look at a good reference book for this bit, because I'm not sure of the cable layout off the top of my head).
    4. Install the cards under Windows.
    5. Choose a protocol (TCP/IP or IPX are good choices)
    6. Set the protocol up.
    7. Test the network using WinPopup.

This is a VERY CONDENSED and VERY ROUGH outline as to going about setting up a network. If you're not sure, then I would suggest going to a reputable dealer and asking their advice. Otherwise, I'll be round the forums if you need any help.
