Hehe. I envy you cafeenman. I've been to Pensacola and Orlando and I freeking love Florida. I feel like the ocean is just calling my name.
Check out the Arabian Nights show if you're even in Orlando, it rocks.
You sound kinda like me. I live like 30 minutes from what used to be a major amusement park here in Nashville next to the Opryland hotel and I never went, then they closed it and I never got to go.=( If you havent been to an amusement park in over 10 years then you owe yourself becasue they are way different now
I really liked Adventure Island. Lots of rollercoasters and cool rides like the Tower of Doom which is like the elevator ride from hell which shoots you like 200 feet straight up in about 2 seconds and then straight back down and up again. My Son was sitting next to me and i heard a panicky "....Dady" haha. He's only 10.
Probably the coolest ride there was Spider-Man( I rode it 3 times), it's in 3D and is kind of like an interactive indoor rollercoaster which huge 3D movie screens.

My brother and I went to a local fair one year with some friends. We had all been eating all the junk food they sell. Then we got in the tea cups and got them spinning as fast as we could. I don't remember who it was, but someone's stomach didn't like it and we all spun right into the undigested food he decided to let loose. Needless to say, we were all feeling pretty nauseated after that.

Cedar Point is probably one of the best coaster farms.
Been there several times when I was in highschool, very cool place.
The Six flags just outside of Chicago has accumulated quite a few
excellent coasters too.
They seem faster and scarier... course I'm older and can't take a four hotdog lunch and then a tilt-a-whirl follow-up.
Cafeenman, those-self-spinning cup rides are the best.
(and worse as you found out hehe)

Arc,
I've lived here in Florida... well I wont age myself... Lets just say a long time. You made the right choice for parks for roller coaster in Orlando Arc. Dueling Dragons is my personal favorite. The Hulk "suprise", was ruined by my son who BASICALLY told me about it. Checkout Busch Gardens in Tampa... It takes 2nd place for best roller coaster park in Florida... Though I'm partial to Tampa

Monday Morning Lunatic
Been on plenty round here:
Nemesis at Alton Towers (my record was 5 times in a row)
The Beast (been demolished because it was unsafe, but it was great for destroying your bones )
Air (queued for 2 1/2 hours in the freezing wind and rain for that)
Oblivion (pansy ride )
Submission (whoops where'd my lunch go...)
...plus everything at Drayton Manor, and Chessington World of Adventure
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

I loved that coaster , i must have been on it about 10 times, it was a weekday, so the queues were tiny (about 5mins!!).

My neighbor's daughter's name is Dolly Moaster. I'll let you ride her for a dollar. All proceeds go to benifit "America Minus Prostitution."

It was good, but I still think Nemesis is better.
Make sure you wait the extra 15 minutes or so for the front, it makes all the difference
