    Ever rode a roller coaster?

Just curious to see who has ridden a roller coaster. If you have ridden one state where and what kind and what you thought of it.

I just went to Flroida and spent a whole week riding every rolercoaster in Florida. Was my first time ever riding roller coasters. Was my first time ever flying in a plane too

The first one i rode was space mountain. It pretty much sucked casue it was in the dark and i couldn't "See" anything(see related thread)

The first Major rollercoaster i rode was the Hulk at Adventure Island(which is a seperate section of Universal studios). This rollercoaster is wild mainly because you go ticking up the first climb and half way up all of a sudden you take off at 60 miles an hour. Caught me way off guard. You sit down on top of the rails on this one.

The second i rode was the dueling dragons. This is 2 coasters intwined wth eachother. There is a red and blue one and they pass right next to eachother a couple times. Looks like you're going to hit the other riders. This one was really wild becasue you hang underneath the track.

There were several other ones but those were the most intense.

I have to say I thought i would be more nervous od riding these monstrosities but i actually really enjoyed it.

The worst part was waiting in line for 45-80 minutes to get on

Anyway i wanna hear all your excelent journies and coasters you've been on and what you think is the best

I love roller coasters even though they scare the **** out of me. I think that's the point. I can't remember all of them that I've ridden. Dude, I live 2 hours from disney. You should have tole me you were in town.

Anyway... the Disney coasters are pretty mild. I don't know about the ones on adventure Island, but I've ridden Space Mountain... in fact, I rode it the year they built it and the lines were like 3-4 hours.

The best coasters are in the parks that are famous for their coasters. We used to go to Cedar Point every year when I was a kid and at the time I thought those coasters were pretty good. It's been a long time for me. I need to get back on one before I enter the "will probably die of a heart attack while riding" category.

BTW... black isn't a color I remember you asking that somewhere, so I thought I'd mention it here.

Hehe. I envy you cafeenman. I've been to Pensacola and Orlando and I freeking love Florida. I feel like the ocean is just calling my name.

Check out the Arabian Nights show if you're even in Orlando, it rocks.

You sound kinda like me. I live like 30 minutes from what used to be a major amusement park here in Nashville next to the Opryland hotel and I never went, then they closed it and I never got to go.=( If you havent been to an amusement park in over 10 years then you owe yourself becasue they are way different now

I really liked Adventure Island. Lots of rollercoasters and cool rides like the Tower of Doom which is like the elevator ride from hell which shoots you like 200 feet straight up in about 2 seconds and then straight back down and up again. My Son was sitting next to me and i heard a panicky "....Dady" haha. He's only 10.

Probably the coolest ride there was Spider-Man( I rode it 3 times), it's in 3D and is kind of like an interactive indoor rollercoaster which huge 3D movie screens.

They are good fun.... I love the speed and the vomit from seats in front I remember being on one in the Gold Coast, Queensland where it was a dead quiet day and so you could stay on over and over again... the only prob was that the restraints arent really made for tall people and so it probably crushed my spine some ... another thing I remember is going on a Drunk Bus tour of the G/C bars... hmmm dont anyone dare consider it ... that didnt go further than I coulda walked in 5 mins and went to more gay bars than straight... in the gay bars were practically the whole male staff of that amusement park ...

.. oh and not that there's anything wrong with that

Dude, you should have told me you lived in Tennessee. I was stationed at Ft. Campbell from 96 to 98.

Actually, I still have a lot of friends in Clarksville and plan to head up that way sometime in the next few months. I'll let you know. We can hit some coasters in the area.

My brother and I went to a local fair one year with some friends. We had all been eating all the junk food they sell. Then we got in the tea cups and got them spinning as fast as we could. I don't remember who it was, but someone's stomach didn't like it and we all spun right into the undigested food he decided to let loose. Needless to say, we were all feeling pretty nauseated after that.

Cedar Point is probably one of the best coaster farms.
Been there several times when I was in highschool, very cool place.

The Six flags just outside of Chicago has accumulated quite a few
    excellent coasters too.
They seem faster and scarier... course I'm older and can't take a four hotdog lunch and then a tilt-a-whirl follow-up.

Cafeenman, those-self-spinning cup rides are the best.
(and worse as you found out hehe)
    Merry Christmas

    Arc,

I've lived here in Florida... well I wont age myself... Lets just say a long time. You made the right choice for parks for roller coaster in Orlando Arc. Dueling Dragons is my personal favorite. The Hulk "suprise", was ruined by my son who BASICALLY told me about it. Checkout Busch Gardens in Tampa... It takes 2nd place for best roller coaster park in Florida... Though I'm partial to Tampa

    Been on plenty round here:

Nemesis at Alton Towers (my record was 5 times in a row)
The Beast (been demolished because it was unsafe, but it was great for destroying your bones )
Air (queued for 2 1/2 hours in the freezing wind and rain for that)
    Oblivion (pansy ride )
Submission (whoops where'd my lunch go...)

...plus everything at Drayton Manor, and Chessington World of Adventure
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

I loved that coaster , i must have been on it about 10 times, it was a weekday, so the queues were tiny (about 5mins!!).

My neighbor's daughter's name is Dolly Moaster. I'll let you ride her for a dollar. All proceeds go to benifit "America Minus Prostitution."

It was good, but I still think Nemesis is better.

Make sure you wait the extra 15 minutes or so for the front, it makes all the difference
