Does that include time to drive through McDonalds? What's the speed limit. That seems pretty fast to me.

Did you know that 3 times as many Manchester United fans were detained by German police in Leverkeusen than the combined total of arrests of Millwall fans, Mayday "riot" marchers, and supporters at the FA cup recently?

I suppose it depends on how fast you can get your car going to

another problem with the trip to the sun is that there are few
gas stations on the way. so going too fast requires you to carry a few extra gallons with ya. and some beef jerkey.

I could probably get mum's car (the only one I'm insured on, since I'm a young male driver who's already got a claim ) up to about 110 if I really belted it along.

Fastest I've ever done in it is 95 (only a 1.7 non-turbo diesel, have to be nice to it ).

I found out about my governer driving from Germany to Paris. I hit about 125 and the engine cut out which almost jolted me into the windshield. Nice way to find out. Thanks Dodge.

Grrrr....the least it could do would be to throttle back rather than slap you stupid by throwing 100% lag at you

I exaggerated for effect. It was more surprising than anything else. It actually wasn't that bad. But don't tell anyone. I like my first story better.

I have this rule. If a good distortion of the truth makes for a better story, then go with it.

    Furry muff on that one

One thing that does put you into the screen is going flat-out in 1st in a cold diesel, then taking your foot straight off the pedal. That engine slows down to idle so &*£$"&% fast!

And my sister was wondering why I wasn't happy when she decided to do that having got back from Uni and not driven for months (as opposed to me who's had 50 minutes of driving every morning since September).

    Haha, that's pretty good

Can't you take the speed limiter out? Sounds like a pain in the arse to me. Is it just meant to stop the engine from blowing up or what?

It can be taken out. It's just to keep you from going "too" fast. But it's retarded because 125 is way too fast for the US which is where the car is meant to be driven. If my tach was right, I was still 1000 RPM below redline. I'm back in the states now, so it's a moot point.
