How to rename file from the locked Wingate Log File
HI..
I am having a problem of renaming the locked log file.
Currently, I was reading the log file from Wingate. I was thinking to rename it first, then read it. But, the problem is that the log file is locked by Wingate.
Anybody know how to resolve this problem?

if its locked, its not possible. to make sure, try renaming the file in windows explorer, and if that fails, try opening up a msdos prompt and using "ren filename newfilename" ( i think thats it ) and if that fails youre gonna have to do it the hard way
restart in dos and rename it there. (PS: if you need to rename the file every time windows starts up, create a .bat file and have it start up with windows)

Thank QPaani
Thanks, qpabani. Appreciated.
But, what i meant is "renaming the locked file from the VB coding". I need to do this, in order for me to read the log file and be able to know the traffic usage.
