    how do I Allow users to download files.

    I know this is probably a mad question, I am really new to this HTML, and have managed to put together a decent site . I need to allow our customers to download update files from our website, when they click on a link. How do I do this?

    Thanks a lot

    well the easiest way is to put a file (for example if it was a CV or something like that) into a folder on the server and then make a hyperlink to it saying "right click here to download" or something to that nature.. and that will do the job.. I don't know how technical downloads you want to have.. if they are just files then that will work.

    Tho correct me if i'm wrong anyone.. cause I ain't a coder..

    Cheers Chris,

    I have done this in the past, but as I said I am really new to this and I think it was more luck than anything else. I have found out what the problem was. here is my code

    <h2 align="center" width="400"><font face="Arial" color="#000000" size="3"><strong><a class="roll"
    href="http://www.kprmidlink.co.uk/Downloads.htm" target="main">maccs for windows - hand held module version 4.1 </a></strong></font></h2>

    It works now, because the Names.mdb entry is case sensitive, I was trying to download names.mdb, with no capital N.

    So there you go, on to the next problem

    Any time you need help, you know where I am.

    Thanks for replying

    Glad I could have been of some help (if none at all)
