I need the hyperlink-pointing-hand cursor and I can't find it on my computer. I need the .cur file, where can I find it? When I do printscreens to capture the hand itself, it just doesn't appear on the image.
How can I get this file?!

I feel I'm very far from the best way of doing it, but I did a printscreen on the control panel/mouse properties.
The hand I needed is there.

Try looking in your Win98 CD in the following path:
cdsample\images\hand.cur

Thanks... but I still have a problem. The hand appears alright, but never in color. Black and white only, why?
Thanks

VB only supports black and white cursors if your using it in the MouseIcon property.

VB does, however, support colours for Icons. If you have an Icon Drawer, you can open that cursor, colour it and save it as an Icon.

I think that using an icon as a cursor will loose the click-spot, won't it?

No it will use the center of the icon as it hotspot.

Krass, I've just e-mailed you an icon editor called MicroArt that I've developed.
It supports creation of .cur and .ani files as well. It also allows you to extract and save an icon from any file.
It also has a "screen grabber" that allows you to click on any part of the screen to turn it into an icon.
It also let you add your icons to different category libraries so it's easy to find your icons wherever you have them on the disk. It's sort of like the clipart library in PowerPoint.
If you would like to beta test this app and tell me what you think about it I will send you a registration key so you can use it after the 30-day trial period.
Best regards
