Hi! I've been looking for a solution for the
"Error 430: Class does not support Automation or does not
support expected interface".
I've browsed for this in this forum and got many threads
concerning this problem but there seems to be no definite
solution.
I have installed an updated version of ADO in my computer.
I think this is the reason why I'm getting the Error 430
everytime I try to install the application on a different
computer.
Thanks for any help.
- I'm using VB 6.0 Enterprise Edition

I had this problem once and I think I had to install the latest mdac on each client system.

Is there any way of doing it without reinstalling the new mdac on the client computer?
I want a clean installation of my applications that i want to distribute. I don't want to have a supplement installation just to get rid of the 430 error.

i know its not the nicest solution but usually you can get an installation to install mdac relatively silently so from the user's point of view there is not much difference. Are you using installshield or wise or soething liek that? if so you should be able to do it with that.
however if your concern is the size of your distribution then this approach is not that valid.
