How do CD's work? Will a meginet on a CD corrupt data so it doesnt work?

This isn't quite a General Visual Basic question, but no, a magnet will not harm a CD. It uses a laser to change pits and lands using die, and it does not use any type of magneticly sensitive material to store data.

no trust me, we had fun corrupting disks (and Moniters) but CD-ROMS are optical, magnetics doesn't affect them
