Any suggestions on any good VB.NET book(s).

http://www.apress.com have a couple good ones. Id also recommend C# 2nd edition from Wrox.com
While yes it is C# code, it has some good information on the classes and techniques you would use in any language for .NET. And learning the .NET framework is the best thing you can do before learning syntax.

I read "Programming Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0" and I liked it a lot. So I got the new version of it. It's a refrence book (as you asked) and it's called "Proramming Microsoft Visual Basic.NET (Core Reference)" See it at Amazon.com
I ordered it about 2 weeks ago, but it's not even shipped yet. So I havent looked at the book yet and cant tell you any more about it
