oh ****, I thought this was a MP3 to wav..
Converting a Wav to a MP3 will just make the file larger, will it not??
And no real improvement in sound quality either.

Hey Pc_Madness ,
According to my knowledge converting the file Wav to Mp3 will reduce the file size. I agree that there will be no real improvement in sound quality. But it will reduce the size of the file almost by 10 times..

I thought wav files were small already??
The biggest wav file I found was 1mb, and thats some crap from Microsoft.
With MP3 files, its usually 1mb per minute.
The only time I can understand you wanting to convert a wav file to a mp3 would be if you'd already converted the mp3 to wav. The files can blow out to 50-60 mb then.

Er.. no - this is completely backwards, MP3's are about 10% of the equivalent size of a WAV. One CD audio track which takes 60MB as a WAV typically only needs 6MB as an MP3.
The best program I have found so far is FreeRipMP3 - it takes about 30 seconds to get it working, then just leave it to do it's job. Can't remember where I found it tho a quick search should find it!
