I don't have a link, but it's the same as kalicki's system but with an Athlon XP 1900, a little slower, and an Abit KG7 motherboard.

MY score would probably go up a bit if I got the beta drivers. So I heard they make the image quality worse, so i'll wait a bit, no rush.

You and I are about on par but your image quality is nicer than mine.

These days I score about 8000 with my GF3...have yet to try the new drivers.

This winter you watch out

and next year 64 bit action watch out

I can usually run my games faster in softwre mode, then with D3D support with this card.

Heh...most Best Buy stores (Future Shop in canada) will sell you a P4 2.0 with a TNT2 or somit...saw one Athlon XP2000 with onboard graphics.

Damn they know how to trick customers...

Gateway is actually pretty good for a manufactured PC. When i bought this PC, it came with a voodoo3, which was at the top of the line at the time i think. It didn't come with a lot of AOL crap, it just came with the basic windows install, and a bunch of software on cds that you could use if you wanted. i think they are pretty decent for manufactured pc. i haven't had any problems adding drives/upgrading either.

Mine wasn't too bad either...still runnin rock-stable.

Gateway uses standard parts I think...something most big names don't do..

Only prob is their lack of AMD systems...

~550 (OCed) P3. The PC itself is a Compaq (unfortunately). I dont know exactly how old it is, but the Vid Card isnt Onboard (amazingly), and ive also got an old Monster 3D Voodoo 1 board in here too (runs faster then the ATI 0.0!), a couple of NICs, and a modem, a 10gig HDD with Win2k, and a 6gig running Mandrake. I think the only good part about it is that it runs quietly enough to be certified as a ninja =).

I forgot to mention that my score was gotten at 640x480 16bit, 16 bit textures, etc. The lowest settings it will allow.

Damn...run it at default settings and submit it to ResultBrowser, you might have one of the lowest scores...

actually that was 640x480... I haven't tried the 800x600

but the 7754 I got it on the defult settings

7888 at 1024x768, default settings. It *was* under 2000, so that might make a difference; although I set it to Above Normal priority in Task Manager.

Ok, total caning on that, except for the high polygon count with 8 lights result

I'm sure I've hit 8900 at least, before. Might need to do some more tweaking methinks
