Is there a way to list all avalable shares on a network
in the same way that you can list files in a directory
and what commands would be used to get their paths
    thanks

    death,

I think that jimdalby's reply was useful, if a little short and abrupt. I don't think he deserved to be flamed though.

    Keep it nice please :-)

    hi,
this is nt the direct way....might be some function is available in API. but here is what i can think u can do to get the data
there is a exefile named Net.exe in windows system which when run with a parameter view...gives u tha name of all the machine available. after that u can use file system object to get the folders share by users on the network.
    hope it will help u
    Thanx Manish
