Hi Mike
as I answered already in the email I feel not very comfortable to use a Setup.EXE which I don't know what it is doing. I understand that you want to keep the source-code save, but this seems to be a problem.
Is there any way to avoid this problem?

Hi Mike
I think that you get after your explanation here more people to test your tool. I will look into it too.

Hi mike, I took a look at your program.
I had problems viewing my Oracle DB. Whenever I try to open a table with a numeric column in it, it says Dataset cannot be displayed in Multirecord Grid Grid disabled.
Is it me or not?
Also I tried another DB made in Acces And that one did show numeric columns!

Yes I've found a little bug,
When you've opened a DB and made a couple of sql statements you can go to the next and the previous. When you move next to go to an empty field and the go back to the previous it skips one. Maybe I explained it a little sh|tty but just give it a try.

Thanks to everyone who has help, just to clarify:
The URL AdoAnywhere Download is a 15 day trial that requires a licence number to fully enable and work past 15 days.
You have to email me for a free valid licence number..I don't expect anyone to try and evaluate the trial version...

Did you update your SetUp download with the new exe, or do we have to download both?

Hi guys sorry for delay getting back on this thread..
The URL on the AdoAnywhere site is a stable version and contains the setup.exe for all files - should always be downloaded.
Current Stable Version Form AdoAnywhere Including Help Files
The download latest link is for people to try any changes that they suggest which will then be incorporated into a new release much later.
People need to email me for a licence number that enables AdoAnywhere.exe fully

Mike,
When I start the app, the progress bar gets halfway across and the splash screen and the MsgBox comes up asking if I would like to open the Demo Data Base.
Selecting yes or no, still opens the app. Exiting the app the same splash screen comes up with the progress bar halfway across the screen with the Cancel button.
Didn't know if this was normal or not, or if you knew about it.
If you would like to send me the license key my e-mail addy is [email protected]
I'm still playing with it as I get time.

VB Newbie needs help
Oks, I admit it, I am a VB newbie, been doing web design etc for years and it is only now that I start VB, I must be mad.
But anyway....I need help. I have tried downloading various database codes for programs but get an MS DAO 3.6 Object Library error and variations of it.
My version of VB (VB 6 Enterprise Edition) says I have it but it also says it is missing whenever I try to use it.
I need one of 2 things, either, a way to create a database program without a database, or a way to bypass the errors as I cannot for the life of me find a way to do it and MS are being their usual "ha, you gotta be joking" selves.
I am working on a program that uses a .seq file as the database, but unfortunately I did not write this program, I am just modifying it for the author (yes, I hear it now, "how you doin that when you don't know what yer doin?"), well basically, the rest of it I can do, i.e. modifiy, add, delete parts of the program, add forms etc.
It is just the actual database itself thats got me stumped, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am also trying to find a way to create an asp driven form (i.e. collects data from a multi page form and sends it to me), again, .asp is not my strong point.

Hi Crashandburn
Maybe it is better that you open a new thread. Anyway, it is maybe easier for you now to use ADO, specially when you do something with ASP. I write ASP-Pages and it works fine with SQL-Server 7 (or MySQL & Linux like the Forum here use it).
In this Forum you can find a lot of informations about to open and then new, edit, delete, move in the tables. Use the search options. For your ASP-question is it maybe not bad to go int the ASP-section of this forum.
