    Mouse

Yet again my mouse had decided to be temperamental, so I've decided it's about time I got myself a decent one. Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations

Ok I have had to replace my mouse three times. But the one I have now is amazingly great.

Its a Logitech Optical Mouse with mouse wheel. I highly recommend it.

No matter what brand you end up getting make sure you get an optical mouse. They last much longer.

i can lend you a mouse if you want while you get a new one ??

are you going to get grumps to pay for it ?? oh and get a new keyboard while you are at it

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

It works okay for a bit if I whack it, so I'll do that until I get a new one

I'll pay for it myself and try to con grumps into giving me the money back, hee hee

    Now to look for keyboards.....

Any brand of mice will do (I prefer Logitech) but just make sure it satisfies the following criteria.

    1) It's optical
    2) It has a mouse wheel
    3) It's 3 buttons (Note: some mice have the wheel act as a button when you press it)

Nic the best place to get your mouse and keyboard from would be the CompSci shop in town, face it you wont find any prices that are cheaper than his

I'm convince the wheel mouses are bad for you over time. I found a dirt cheap (about US$7) Mitsumi mouse that has a button that clicks up or down instead of a wheel.

    Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

I have a blue wireless optical Logitech mouse that's the bees knees, managing to be both functional and stylish.

I have to keep cycling rechargable batteries through it though as it flattens two every 4-7 days.

But the best thing is.... it's got a cool red light underneath it!!!!!!

What is so bad about the wheel?

What i do more than wheeling it is click on the wheel, and then move the mouse up or down. that scrolls the page too.

Which mouse do you have? I also have a blue wireless optical mouse from logitech, and the battery's supposed to last for months. So far, the battery's been fine for a week.

Nope it isn't Logitech, although the logitech ones were quite good . The one I've got suits either hand (I sometimes use the mouse left-handed) which is quite cool; can't remember what make it is actually

    It's a cult, a cult I tell you

    anyone use a trackball?

I personnaly can't stand them, but I know people that refuse
to work on a pc unless they can use their trackballs...
I also know one person who isn't working anymore.
    Merry Christmas
