makking a com component working under linux

hello ,
I ahve made a com component in vb and used it in asp but i have the same requirement for a project but this project runs under linux/php
i know that php supports com components but can i used the existing the com cmponent under linux if yes when what should i do to convert the component so that i can use the same thing under linux

help on this would be highly appreaciated

I don't think you can because it would still require at least the VB Runtimes which wouldn't run under linux.

Without using a Windows emulator like WINE (http://www.winehq.com/) you can't because Linux doesn't use COM.
