dropdown menus over a frameset doc

is it possible to use a dhtml dropdown menu over a frameset?

what i mean is, say you have a frameset doc that is two rows. the top row has your navigation and the bottom has your main page content.

could you use a dhtml dropdown and have it appear ontop of the content page?

i did a quick test and the menu would end up being cut off or show up behind the lower page.

i would like this to be on top or over(on the z axis) of my lower frame.

hope that makes sense. please ask me to re-frase it if it does not.

    thanks!

    Hi,

I dont think you can do it. DHTML is elements and javascript so the result is only shown on the page its executed on, not across framesets.

This is another reason why i boycot frames
