    Exclamation

Okay, this has ... nothing to do with VB... but I'm desperate! Can I safely install Windows 98 on a computer with Windows 2000 on it by booting in DOS and installing 98? I started to attempt this and the setup detected the other OS and said that version wasn't made to install 98 with another OS....

Or is there another, free, easy way to install Win98 with Win2k on the same 'puter??

    Any suggestions are welcome!!

    Question

I'm not going to try to install 98 with 2000 on the same volume, but i'm not going to reformat and partition my hard drive... does anybody know if i can just install 98 on a second hard drive and use 2000's dual-boot menu to start 98??

    Win2k

    Hi,
You can install win2k and 98 in the same hd, i have done it without any problems. But its better to install them in seperate HD if you have one.

You can even install two copies of win2k in seperate hard disk (its crazy but true !!). I have done it !!

I had win98 then i installed win2k in the same HD without uninstalling win98 and you dont even need a reformat.

At the moment i only have win2k as i think there is no need of win98 as you will find out soon if u install win2k.

    Hope this helps
