L&H Speech engine: Looking for docs
Does anyone know if there is a FAQ on the L&H Speech recognition control? Like what are the commands, how to teach it? I've looked around and have done some searches, but I'm not getting anything useful. I've even tried L&H's web site but there doesn't seem to be any good documentation anywhere. Microsoft's docs only seem to be for Agent. Any ideas, guys?

I'm not sure about L&H but Microsoft's documents are not only for Agent. They may have a chapter or so devoted to Agent, but for the most part it's about the Properties, Methods and Events of the controls.

In the control panel there is a speech icon. Open that and you can train from there.

The Speech Control Panel Only shows up if you install it.
To download it, follow the below link:
http://agent.microsoft.com/agent2/spchcpl.exe
If you would like more information about using it, drop me a line @ [email protected]

Ok, whatever. I guess in the newer version it comes with it. That does not really matter.

I believe that the file http://agent.microsoft.com/agent2/spchcpl.exe eric445
refered to in the previous post is the complete speech engine.

Like I said, It does not really matter but it is NOT the complete speech engine. I reccomend going to the downloads section on http://www.microsoft.com/msagent and look at everything.
Something that a lot of people get confused and think that Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice is the speech engine. Its not. Microsoft Command and Control is the speech engine. L&H is the Text-to-speech engine.(TTS)

Eric
