Yup, we need BETA testers for our new shell. It's a Star Trek LCARS panel. (LCARS - Library Computer Access Retreival System) It can even replace your Task Bar. At the moment it doesn't have access to the Start Menu cuzz we need people to look for bugs in our program so far. We are working on the Start Menu next. But for now, we need Testers for what we do have. To get it go here... ONLY experienced computer users need to test it. We are NOT responsible if it crashes your machine. You test at your own risk.

Get 3.02.. That's the BETA and newest version.
    Thanks all.

Ok, we have updated the BETA to 3.03 now. A lot of BUG fixes and we need you to find more. (If anymore exist.) In the meantime, we are working to get the next upgrade of this beta out with a Start Menu Options list. Once that is done then it will be ready to totally replace your Windows TaskBar.

Thanks to those whom have been using it and sending comments. But we need you to get the newest upgrade so that you can see that we are fixing what you find..

    Thumbs up

    Hello Knight_vision

    heres an idea for you...

have you tried using flash in vb?

Im currently busy with something similar as your Lcars but then with BORG stuff.
I make Menubar in flash that i can use in VB...It's great

Its easy to use and add some nice (VERY NICE effect) to the GUI...

About 9 months ago someone sugested using flash in VB for my LCARS projects... I tried.. There were limitations. But it's Version 4 that your talking about. I was using version 3. So we may look into it. Thing is though, the code we have is small, and we are making our own controls for this project. The buttons that you see there is done off of one OCX that was made by us.

I however would love to see your BORG project. We are also going to be doing a BORG, Ferengi, and Klingon Interface. But that will be a while.

So, is there a chance I could see your project?

I suppose so, but as we're only with 2 it might take a little while...

But our programm is not exactly the same as your interface...
Its just a programm with some nice features

    It has:
    IP chatpossibility
    Browser
    Explorer
    and euh (we'll see)...

I'm not such a great programmer to make an entire program as you do ... I see this as some kind of experiment ...
Perhaps next year (when i'll learn C++) i'll make such an interface as yours...

We use : Visual Basic 6.0, Adobe photoshop 5.5 and Flash 4.0

    Question

Ok.. I'm not trying to argue here, so please don't take me the wrong way.. But your saying that I should try Flash 4 in my projects just like yours, even though you haven't actually made a program yet? Am I reading you right? I mean, I was all hyped up to see your BORG interface. So please tell me you DID make some program already? Something I can see. (BTW - We also only have two people on our LCARS Project)

Like I said, I don't want to cause a problem, i'm just a little confused.

We made flash menubars and then VB reacts when one of the flash buttons is pressed...
