Lift embedded GIFs from HTML

I've been sent an HTML e-mail with a little animated piccy.
I want to be able to save the picture for my own use. But if I try to view the HTML source it comes up as <src="cid:longnumber>, so there's no actual file, only an embedded image. Image properties mention outbind://7/longnumber.
If I cut and paste it still doesn't allow me to save as a GIF. I've tried from Frontpage, Word etc.
I'm not exactly au fait with all things HTML.
Anyone got any ideas? Is it possible?
