    What would be a good way of deleting a floppy disk?
    If it has folders with in folders it can be a head ache to use
    the "rmdir" statement because that only works if the folder is empty-which means I have to erase all files in every folder I find.
    Is there an easier way?

    Format

    Just format the disk.
    I you need to know how to do so in VB then go to http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb and search for "format".
    That should bring up some examples.
