Lost and Gotfocus does not work

I am creating a control for text box, but when i want to create Gotfocus event, control returns error.
Second i want to set property in popup in property window like uper case or lower case. it does not matter that how to convert lower case into upper case but matter is that to make a choice for upper and lower case.

Please reply urgent.
