Folks,
As VB6 comes with the whole MSDN library, and every search or F1 brings about an endless list of Java, Foxpro, C++ etc. etc. etc., and all I wanted is VB help ONLY !!!
Is it too much to ask? Why am I forced to use 3 CD's instead of the immediate help VB5 had?
I tried 3 times to install VB6 with different options, asking for VB ONLY. The result: Either you get ALL the MSDN help or every F1 asks for CD #2 in your CD drive...
Anyone knows how to bypass this stupidity, or get VB6 HELP just for VB?
Thanks

When you're installing the MSDN library, select custom install. Then you will be given a choice to select labraries for the languages you want, select VB only. Personally, I like the whole MSDN library better then just VB. First of all, you get help for all APIs, of course you get them in C/C++ format but who cares? You can easilly convert them into VB fromat.

Thanks.
I did just that. Never mind, you get the whole thing anyway...
I do mind getting too much info, because it is presented in a stupid way. From the list of topics you do not always know if this is an answer to VB or Foxpro...
AND, maybe it is easy for you to convert C++ etc. , but not to me.
My question was if there is help for VB6 in VB5 style.
Thanks anyway.

There's no help file as a VB5 style anymore. But to see only help for VB you can select Visual Basic Help in Active Subset combobox.

The only VB5 style help you can get for DAO library as far as I know (it's aslo in MSDN library). So if you add a reference to DAO, then type the property name of any DAO object and press F1, it will bring the old style help.
