Netcraft: IIS userbase has increased
yep, that's a 4.89% Increase over last year. (+ 4.89%)
Apache down by 4.67% (That's -4.67% change over last year)
http://www.netcraft.com/survey/
Thanks to .NET

however that was kind of biased since one networks changing accounted for alot of that
primarily due, however, to register.com's domain name parking service switching to mostly IIS servers, which account for over 2 million of the 38 million sites surveyed
or about 5 percent, so not all the network switched over

biased is not the appropriate word.
Incomparable -- may be

These things can't be trusted anyway for short term things. You need to look at the big picture.
And I see Apache losing market share as .NET gets itself going (c.f. the big ball in Indiana Jones ).....but I don't think it'll ever wipe it out.

I don't think that .net will have as much impact on the server market as people make it out to be. If a person is serving a webpage of linux now i doubt they will switch to MS just because .net came around

If it provides extra functionality they might. It's all basically a battle of who has more features...
BTW, I thought this thread title said "Netscape user base increasing" so I was about to flip out because NS sucks

There will be a large influx to Microsoft Platform just for .NET alone
Reason : The Tools for Web Services are already available in MS Platform (Visual Studio) . J2EE is still waiting for native xml support (Rumours say...they will be available only around next year)
