I think Chris was closest
So how is everyone?

Leave the bureau in the snow
Catch a tram to Onkel Pö
Early evening ring around the moon
Slip in by the concierge
By the bikes and up the stairs
Snap the latch and creep into the room
You throw off your coat, pick up the post
And put a coffee on
Lie down on the bed, lay back your head
And smoke a cigarette
And listen to the radio
Listen to the radio
In the city late tonight
Double feature, black and white
"Bitter Tears" and "Taxi to the Klo"
Find a bar, avoid a fight
Show your papers, be polite
Walking home with nowhere else to go
You throw off your coat, pick up my note
Put another coffee on
Lie down on the bed, lay back your head
And smoke a cigarette
And listen to the radio
Listen to the radio
Atmospherics after dark
Noise and voices from the past
Across the dial from Moscow to Cologne:
Interference in the night
Thousand miles on either side
Stations fading into the unknown:
So throw off your coat, we'll butter some toast
And put a coffee on:
We'll lie down on the bed, lay back our heads
Smoke another cigarette
And listen to the radio
Listen to the radio
All night long...

can hardly bear the sight of lipstick on the cigarettes there in the ashtray
Lyin' cold the way you left 'em, but at least your lips caressed them while
you packed
Or the lip-print on a half-filled cup of coffee that you poured and didn't drink
But at least you thought you wanted it, that's so much more than I can say
for me
What a good year for the roses
Many blooms still linger there
The lawn could stand another mowin'
Funny I don't even care
As you turn to walk away
As the door behind you closes
The only thing I have to say
It's been a good year for the roses
After three full years of marriage, it's the first time that you haven't
made the bed
I guess the reason we're not talkin', there's so little left to say we
haven't said
While a million thoughts go racin' through my mind, I find I haven't said a word
From the bedroom the familiar sound of one baby's cryin' goes unheard
What a good year for the roses
Many blooms still linger there
The lawn could stand another mowin'
Funny I don't even care
As you turn to walk away
As the door behind you closes
The only thing I have to say
It's been a good year for the roses

Howdy folks!
I thought when my contract finished (last week) I would have more time, but it seems completely the other way around (or arseways around if you wish to use the proper technical term).
I've fixed a bazzilion (roughly) things around the house, I'm picking my folks up from the airport in a couple of hours, I've got interviews gallore this week for other contracts that I don't really want, and to top it all I've got to nip to the off license to replace the slab of Boddingtons I filched from my parents house when they were on holiday .... well, they will leave such things lying around.... and I was afraid some burglars might break in and take it, so I removed it to my own house, purely for it's own protection you understand....

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

High tide - mid afternoon
People fly by in the traffics boom
Knowing - where you're blowing
Getting to where you should be going.
Don't let them get you down
Making you feel guilty about
Golden rain bring you riches
All the good things - you deserve now.
Climbing forever trying
Find your way out - of the wild wild wood
Now theres no justice
There's only yourself - that you can trust in
And I said - high tide mid afternoon
People fly by in the traffics boom
Knowing - just where you're blowing
Getting to where you should be going.
Day by day your world fades away
Waiting to feel - all the dreams that say
Golden rain will bring you riches
All the good things - you deserve now - and I say
Climbing forever trying
Find your way out - of the wild wild wood
/quiet night watching footie on the telly mood and misses on a girls' night out ...

lol
on the journey up to leeds it took 7 hours to go up and got through 3/4 of a tank. came home and it took 4 and a bit hours and got through a full tank. it's 200 miles from leeds to The M25 and did it in a little under 2 hours. No guessing my speed

If that was via the M6, I take my hat off to your bro. Thats some going
M6 and clear road are not usually found in the same sentence.
