XP Networking
Im trying to do a home network and the connection wizard is saying the cable is not plugged in.
I know its in on both ends.

2000 has done this and i figured it's just a way to say "Hey buddy somethings up with your connection".
Have you assigned i.p addresses etc. etc.

lolyou should try networking with win 3.1. That'll teach you to complain
XP largely sets itself up. I have 4 PCS networked on XP at home here. Set them all up to static IP addresses.(eg 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2, etc)
You just proved that sig advertisements work.

What does your home network involve?
If you're trying to connect 2 computers with a CAT5 cable it won't work. You're either gonna need a router/hub or connect them with a crossover cable
