Don't even think about reseting the thing, that way be dragons.
You don't need to remove the cards, simple apply some even downward pressure on them, being carefule to keep something against the back of the motherboard, to avoid cracking it..(have seen this happen). If you get some slight, and l mean slight, no don't use a hammer here, movement then that may fix your problem.
This is by ways of one possibility, it may not be your problem...
