Do I need a new Signature?
I was thinking that the quote I have is getting a little long in the tooth . . . What do you think?

So who chose option 3 -- own up, feel free to join in the discussion. Actually starting it would be good . . . . !

Sorry pal I'm guilty.
I have sigs switched off 'cos so many of them annoy me.
So really I was only being truthful.

I know what you mean though. It's a shame as some sig's are actually quite alright . . . . . but some aren't, remember 'Rig in the Sig'? Cocks . . . . !

I've always hated people who try to convert you to their way of thinking, mentioning no names.
But don't they realise that subliminal messaging has to be ... well .. subliminal. Not ****ing great pictures and messa....

Keep it Matt. The myriad of Pratchett fans on the board will be eternally grateful
BTW. I'm thinking about changing mine too.

I have a few to choose from though. . . !
Until an unfortunate axe incident, Gloria had been captain of the school basketball team.

It looked like the sort of book described in library catalogues as "slightly foxed", although it would be more honest to admit that it looked as though it had been badgered, wolved and possibly beared as well.
are just a couple!

How about . . . .
Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of
the bowl of petunias as it fell was Oh no, not again. Many people
have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.

Oi! Bloomin' kids today - no bloody respect for their elders, that's their trouble...
I think if you keep it, you should correct it. There are loads of potential quotes you could use, though, so don't tie yourself down.

That was it.
I don't like the replacement though. If I were a quoting person, I'd go for this:
Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.

To pretend that we are really well read, we should refer to authors by only their last names. Itg sounds a lot more snobby.
So, from Adams I always liked
The Vogon ships hung in the air, exactly the way bricks don't.
And from Pratchett (I can't remember the exact quote but it was something like)
"Luck? My middle name is luck!". He didn't tell them that his first name was Bad.
SD
"I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy!"
